SPOKANE JUNIOR OLYMPIC ARCHERY DEVELOPMENT (JOAD)
Spokane Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is a year-round archery club for children ages 8-18. JOAD is a program of USA Archery, the national organization for archery for the Olympics. Students are coached and encouraged throughout their progression from beginner, to novice, to elite, to the Olympic trials. All of our coaches are SafeSport Certified.
Coach Lee McEuen, USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach and Instructor Coach, and National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Basic Archery Instructor, started coaching archery in the 80's at Boy Scouts. As the founder and head coach of Spokane JOAD, he has given back to our archery community immeasurable amounts of support to build up better people, who happen to be better archers too. Coach Lee has 30 years additional experience in coaching Martial Arts.
Coach Wes Wilhelm, USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach and Coach Trainer, USA Archery Level 2 Certified Judge, NASP Basic Archery Instructor and Basic Archery Instructor Trainer, PSE Certified Instructor, Shooter, and Technician, started archery at 4 1/2 years old. Coach Wes is a world level competitor who's coached archery for over 30 years.
Coach Marjee Clark, Spokane JOAD Program Administrator, USA Archery Level 3 NTS Coach, NASP Basic Archery Instructor, and rising USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach, enjoys inspiring others to find their happiness in archery. Fun, Integrity, Resilience, Sportsmanship, and Trust are essential parts of her "Athletes FIRST" holistic coaching style.
Coach Chris Clark, USA Archery Level 3 Coach, NASP Basic Archery Instructor, and rising USA Archery Level 1 Judge, enjoys many different styles of archery, along with competing in, and coaching archery with his family. Olympic recurve is his present favorite style of archery.
Coach Jen Johnson, USA Archery Level 3 Coach, NASP BAI, and aspiring Centershot Ministries Basic Archery Instructor, enjoys long walks on the beach. As an archery coach for kids and teens, she loves helping them build confidence and a positive mindset - sort of like guiding a lost arrow to find its target again.
